Newsletter 2 - 22 Oct. 2018

Hello friends!

 

We are delighted to tell you that we have now had a number of clear up Saturdays over the summer and autumn, but you probably already know that and hopefully have attended a few yourself. We’d like to thank all our volunteers who have joined in with bulb planting, sign cleaning and of course litter picking. Also, we’d like to extend a thank you to Glendale, the park management company, who provided equipment and bags (most of the time – and if they didn’t, the volunteers made a plan themselves!). Please attend our next public meeting on 7 November 2018, 7pm at the Somerville Stay and Play (more on this below).

Newsletter 1 - Aug. 2018

As well as helping to improve our gardens for everyone, we at FEG want to provide a way to update the local community about what is happening at the gardens and other local community events.  The hot weather means the gardens have been put to good use. That’s great! But we want to make sure our gardens are kept clean for all users. So we organised a clear up day and it was a success! Twenty locals including our very own Charlotte and Benoit came out to help. Councillors Brenda Dacres and Joe Dromey also came along. Glendale provided equipment and FEG provided the refreshments.  It
